Psalm68Five Matching Challenge!
As we look toward the end of the year, we are amazed at what God continues to do through this ministry!
So many kids stepped out of their comfort zones this summer — arriving at camp nervous, hurting, and unsure of who they were. But we have witnessed God doing what only He can do — changing lives, healing hearts, and reminding fatherless kids that they are deeply loved and never forgotten. Every camp, every prayer, every moment of joy… it’s all because people like you said yes to being part of what God is doing!
And now, we are so excited to share with you an amazing opportunity to make that “yes” go even further.
Our $100,000 Matching Challenge is ON!
A generous donor has pledged $100,000 and is challenging us to match it by January 31st.
We’ve already received over $40,000 in donations toward the match — thank you!
That means your gift helps double the impact to help more kids experience a life-changing week of camp where they’ll encounter the love of their Heavenly Father in a real and personal way.
This summer, it cost an average of $400 to send one child to camp. Here’s what your matched gift can do:
$200 (matched to $400) → sends one child to camp!
$400 (matched to $800) → sends two kids to camp!
$800 (matched to $1,600) → sends four kids to camp!
Every gift — big or small — makes an eternal difference.
Even better: Set up a recurring monthly gift for 2026, and every single gift will be matched at the end of the year!
A Glimpse of What Your Gift Makes Possible

Natalie comes from a single-mom family in Grand Rapids and has quite a few siblings. She’s been coming to camp for about six years now, and she participates in our Psalm68Five prayer journal program — where one mentor walks closely alongside one camper throughout the week. Together, they explore the promises God has for each of His children and how those truths speak into their lives.
At this particular camp, our focus was on anger and forgiveness — two struggles that many of our campers carry into adulthood because of the deep hurt, wounds, and abandonment they’ve experienced. That was certainly true for Natalie.
As she spent time with her mentor, God began working in her heart. Natalie realized that the anger she had been holding toward her father for leaving their family was actually hurting her more than anyone else. While she couldn’t excuse what had happened, she came to understand that she needed to forgive him — to place that whole situation in God’s hands and trust Him to work in His timing and in His way.
By the end of the week, Natalie shared around the campfire that she felt an incredible burden lifted. She described the peace and freedom that filled her heart once she let go of the anger that had weighed her down for so long. It was a beautiful moment — a visible picture of God’s healing power at work.
When Natalie returned home and began school in the fall, she entered a speech contest. She chose to share about her experience at Higher Ground — how God helped her forgive her father and how letting go of anger opened her heart to freedom and trust in Him. Her message touched everyone who heard it. She won first place that day, but more importantly, she ministered to countless other students who were carrying their own hidden pain.
Natalie went on to compete at the state level, where she once again found success, and later this fall, she’ll be traveling to Florida to compete in a national competition.
Natalie is a remarkable young woman — a living testimony of God’s grace and redemption. She’s also been instrumental in bringing friends to camp and encouraging others to experience the same hope and healing she found. We’re so thankful for her life and for what God continues to do through her.
This is what your support makes possible — real moments where God steps in and changes a child’s story forever.
Let’s Keep Saying “Yes” to What God is Doing
Would you prayerfully consider giving a gift this season — or becoming a monthly partner for 2026? Every dollar given before January 31 gets us closer to our goal, and every monthly donation next year will be matched too!
Your generosity doesn’t just send kids to camp — it sends them into the arms of a loving Father who has been waiting for them all along.
We can’t wait to see all that God will do through you.
