Hello Psalm68five Supporters,
Summer is fast approaching! We are making preparations for the 2018 camp season and want to update you on plans.
One recent event was a visit to Citychurch McKinney by Frontier Camp. Matt Raines spoke to the group of kids there that evening, and showed a video from last summer which featured many of the kids in the room. As it played on the screen, the kids laughed and chimed in excitedly….and when it ended, this question was asked: “How many of you went to camp last summer?” Lots of hands shot up. “How many are going again this summer?” More hands appeared. Citychurch McKinney will be able to send another group of kids to Frontier Camp or Camp Wilderness Ridge this summer thanks to scholarships from Psalm68five Ministries. They are part of the 370+ fatherless kids who will experience a wonderful week of Christian camp and learn of God’s special blessings for the fatherless. We are again partnering with several camps in Texas, Michigan, Wisconsin and even adding another camp this year in Iowa.
Our hope is that we can continue to add more fatherless kids each year, but we need additional funding to do so. If you would like to help, know that 100% OF YOUR DONATION WILL GO DIRECTLY TO CAMPER SCHOLARSHIPS AND COUNSELORS. The need is great–check our website, Psalm68five, for some statistics about the number of fatherless kids we have in America. Many of these kids would never have the opportunity to spend a week at camp enjoying the outdoors, making friends, and learning of God’s special love for the fatherless without help–in fact, many of them have never left their home town! We look forward to seeing the joy on their faces as they make lifelong memories at camp. And we are grateful for whatever you can do to help–whether it’s donations or prayers or spreading the word about this ministry. Thank you!
Psalm68five is a Non-profit organization on a mission to help change the trajectory of fatherless kids from very poor statistical outcomes in life, to great outcomes where they learn to understand and accept the special relationship promised to them by God the Father.
Psalm 68:5: “A Father to the Fatherless, a defender of widows, is God in his holy dwelling.”
